ECR Baltic support letter on principles to be considered when debating new consumer goods (incl. food) sector regulation initiatives in Latvia.


In response to Latvian Traders Association request and on behalf of ECR Baltic, we have shared the principles to be followed when considering new legislation introduction in consumer goods supply chain:

  • Interests of the consumer and shopper
  • Sustainability, imposing all parties to ensure maximum efficiency and optimization of resources in the distribution of goods throughout the supply chain.
  • Support for Industry self-regulation options, such as for good trading practices in B2B commercial dealings.
